The ranking of the institute in Asia was declared by QS Asian Universities Ranking. QS Asian Universities Ranking selected top 200 universities by 5 sectors to choose. It consists of
1. Asian Academic Peer Review 30 %
2. Asian Employer Review 10%
3. Student/Faculty ratio 20%
4. Bibliometrics - Papers per Faculty and Citations per Paper 30%
5. International factors 10%
The first of this ranking is University of Hong Kong. the second is The hong Kong University of Science and Technology. And the third is National University of Singapore. It concludes that ranking of Mahidol University is 28 from 200. Moreover Mahidol University is the best of Thailand, their motto : Wisdom of the Land. Mahidol University, there is a plan to become excellence in 4 aspects :
1. excellence in research
2. excellence in building tomorrow's leader
3. excellence in health care services
4. excellence in academic
Furthermore Clin.Prof. Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn, M.D., President of Mahidol University, said that this is the second consecutive year that Quacquarelli Symonds Ltd., QS, ranked Mahidol University was the 1st among Thai Universities. Last year, the rank was 30 but this year is 28 of Asian universities. It indicates that we has potentiality to develop and make it to be a more success.
